Ms. Patti and Ms. Meg T/Th Knoch Knolls 3's

October 1 – 14

The three year olds are amazing! We are all starting the day with smiles and we come to class ready to see what is new!  We can’t believe October is here and we love to learn!

In Language Arts we started with the letters F and L.  We talked about things that start with F and L.  We learned so much about Fish and Leaves.

Fish Prints
In Science we learned about the different parts of a fish. We also learned about the colors and shapes of leaves.  We had a fish visitor, a beta fish who we watched swim. We discovered the different parts of a fish too! The leaves we found, we sealed in contact paper so we could look at all the different kinds we found.

In Math we worked on number recognition. We graphed (and ate!) goldfish crackers. A yummy way to learn!

Graphing Goldfish

In our sensory table, we had a fish pond with lily-pads and frogs to balance them on. Then we were surprised to find leaves and little pumpkins to scoop up the next week.

In our Dramatic Play area, we had our own fishing pond! We tried to catch magnetic fish. Then we had  puppet show set up to put on shows!

In Art, we made fish prints with rubber fish and played with blue playdough with fish eyes (beads)!  For leaves, we made colorful trees and we all cannot wait for fall!
Our favorite times are outside when we can move and play.  We are so lucky to have a wonderful park to explore.

Our class is so excited about fall, pumpkins, and Halloween. We are expecting some very colorful learning!
