Good-bye November, hello December. We have been busy working on fine motor and counting by putting cheerios on a pipe cleaner and playing the snowman game. What is the snowman game you ask? The snowman game is when you count the number of buttons on the snowman, than look for a hat that has the matching number on it. Once you find the correct hat, you place it on the snowman.

The children have been having fun creating many different art projects. They creatively painting with trains, doing leaf rubbings, painting with puffy paint, and making hand prints on mittens. Their favorite art project was decorating their snowman with glitter. The snowmen and mittens can be found on our bulletin boards.
Using glitter is a favorite thing but so is playing in the sensory table. The sensory table had water and sea animals in it. The children also had fun building homes for the animals in blocks covered in shaving cream. We pretended the shaving cream was snow. Then we switched back to blue water but had fish and boats. They had fun counting how many fish could fit in a boat.

The children loved playing with trains and building with the train tracks. They also enjoyed playing with trucks and creating faces for Mr. Potato Head.
