On the last full week of school our class went bird watching. The kids had a chance to climb into a life size bird nest. They sat with other feathered friends and looked for eggs to hatch and match the colors. We made binoculars and went bird watching. We talked about the birds colors and matched birds that were alike and counted how many of each kind we had.

"I see an eagle"  "Hey I see 2 yellow birds"
Hide and Seek has become very popular in the gym. They are very clever with their hidding spots. Each finder has to count to 10 before they find their classmates.

I bet you can't see me  : )

We found you!
At our craft table we made sun catchers out of glue and food coloring. The children are getting really good at using the pipettes and working on their fine motor skills.

We made our very own tambourines and made some great music with them. We were also able to play with some special instruments this week, a guitar and an accordion. We discussed how the air in the accordion being pushed out and pulled in was making the music.
Making music is fun!

Our last day of school was our BEACH PARTY!!   We played in the sand, chalked on the ground, played hop scotch, swung on the monkey bars, played a bean bag game and much much more.....

It's like we are at the beach.
more summer fun with chalk.
Hopscotch & monkey bar.

A picnic snack for our last day of school.

Thank you for sharing your children with us this year. It has been such a pleasure teaching them and watching them grow. What a year we have had! They started the year shy, timid and maybe even a few tears but they are ending the year confident, independent, and ready for 3's pre-school. We hope you stop by for a visit next year, so we can see those smiling faces. Have a great summer!
We're glad we were your teachers,
We've come to care for you so,
We can't believe the end is near,
We hate to see you go!
Remember all the fun we had,
and all the things we did,
but most of all remember
You're a very special kid!
