Spring has sprung and we are really enjoying the warmer weather and exploring nature.

| The children created a whole restaurant outside, serving gravel soup and ice cream. Yum! |

We have a new friend by our back door. A mama bird has built a nest to hatch her eggs in. The kids have been busy collecting stick/twigs and leaving it for the mama bird to help build her nest. We have also been leaving her worms to eat. We check every day for baby birds. |

While learning about the woodlands, we had a tent , camp fire and marshmallow sticks out for our dramatic play.  Learning about nocturnal and diurnal animals  Experimenting with objects. What is reflective? and What is not?  Learning about reflections using a flashlight and using sunlight on our sunnier days.  Working on our woodland illustration  After reading the book Dreams, they painted their own colorful dream window. We also created a black/white/gray collage
Tracing their paper dolls shadow.  Having fun playing with our shadow puppets and shadow dancing. Tracing animals shadows.  Stacking and counting how many cups we can stack.  The classes shadows are waving goodbye. We will see you again in next months blog.
