Seager Classroom
After a two month long winter break away
We finally returned to school for learning and play
We are enjoying being in class once again all together
Still hiking and playing outside when able during the wintery weather
We observed how shimmery the snow is while out on a hike
And discussed how no snowflakes are exactly alike
So we created STEM snowflakes using q-tips and glue
We practiced our cutting skills to make more snowflakes and Valentine’s hearts too
This February we started the Wind and Water unit by having each student make a homemade sailboat
In science we observed which items sink and which ones float
We also experimented how strong the wind can blow
And we worked to put together weather picture puzzles of rain and of snow
We are caring for animals in our pretend pet store
And writing friendly letters to those we adore
We are building tall structures to test which ones are stable and which ones will fall
At the end of the day we read books, dance, or play please pass the ice cream with a plastic ball
We are grateful for this amazing group of creative, fun and inquisitive children that make us laugh and smile every single day.
We hope these photos below show you how much we enjoy watching them learn, create, discover, and play.

After viewing wind paintings of famous artists, we created our own unique textured wind art. We used glue, salt and water colors. |
Snow Day! We built castles together in the snow. |
In math we work with numbers. We rolled the dice and used dot markers to locate the corresponding number rolled. |
