Pre-K Winter Fun in Room 101
Mrs. Melby & Mrs. Boyle
February 12, 2021
It is great to be back together again! We have had a wonderful time getting reacquainted with our classroom friends and getting acclimated into our classroom routine. The kids have grown so much in the little time we were away. We have been busy playing together with play dough, the grocery store, taking care of pets, and learning about friendships.
In the gym we, had fun collaborating together to form an obstacle course for everyone to participate in.
Playing snap word search around the room is fun.
We had so much fun creating some special valentines for our friends. We
practiced writing our friend's names, our cutting skills and our creativity
creating various cards for our friends.
Practicing our ABAB patterns with a some beads.
We had 'snow" much fun playing with the fresh fallen snow! We were able to
gather some up and bring it inside to play with.
combined colors to make new colors and to see what kind of a reaction happens
when you add liquid to snow.
We even were able built a snowman!
We had so much fun exploring with magnets and building a pattern.
We used a mixture of paint and bubbles at the easel and
were able to make beautiful paintings.
Creatively we used cups in our stability challenge and tested it with some things
that move air.
We had so much fun trying to see how tall we
could make the tower before it falls over?
After reading Gilberto and the Wind, we made sailboats.
We then tested if we could produce enough air with various objects
to make our sailboats move? We had fun testing out this theory
using paper fans, squeeze toys, bubble machines.
We learned that making wind with our paper fans takes a lot of energy!
Thanks to everyone for helping support us in the classroom and out. Thank you for visiting our blog.
We hope that you have a safe and wonderful weekend.
