Ms. Julie and Ms. Meg

We will miss you Miss Linda!

Seager Classroom
We all waved goodbye to Miss Linda as she left to go
We welcome Miss Meg with a giant Hello

This month continued with investigating reflections and finding our shadow

Next month we will take a closer look at nature with Things That Grow

We played with reflections using mirrors and   building with mylar wrapped blocks

Then we used magnifying glasses to look at reflective surfaces and even discovered some shimmery rocks

In art, we made reflective collages using colorful gems and aluminum foil that we have displayed on the windows up high

Then after reading the book Dreams, we drew pictures of our own colorful dreams in the nighttime sky

Then we researched and learned all about nocturnal animals that stay active at night

And we played with shadow puppets creating entertaining stories by using a flashlight

Seager Woodland Campsite was our new dramatic play which of course was such fun

We used binoculars to bird watch, we fished, grilled pretend hotdogs, and enjoyed sitting around a pretend campfire all of this was a huge hit for everyone

Everything in dramatic play was created by our class

The kids cut green construction paper for the woodland grass

And they also painted together on butcher paper to make a giant evergreen tree

Then they each beaded a pipe cleaner to make a clothespin dragonfly and they also made paper plate birds with multi color feathers for the campers to see

In math, we counted numbers by stacking blocks and counting how many we knocked down each time

We also played various number games and had frog races by jumping to the end of a number line

We love playing at Seager with our friends no matter the weather

Please take a closer look at these photos of what we       learn when we are together

.

We discovered blocks are fun on mirrors.

All campers welcome at Our Seager Woodland Campsite! Grab your binoculars, do you see our cut grass, also our dragonflies and birds nesting in our hand painted evergreen tree?
